Fashion Week <\/b>is one of key events in the world of fashion<\/a>. Fashion Weeks<\/strong> are trade events open to registered buyers, press and members of the fashion industry only. Most probably, not everyone had a chance to take part in such events, and it would be interesting for you to learn about what it is, and how and when it all happens. We will tell you about it in more detail.<\/p>\n

Fashion Week <\/b>is an event where designers present their fashion collection<\/strong> to public for the first time. One may say that it\u2019s a sort of presentation of things, which will later be sold in shops.<\/p>\n

When do Fashion Weeks take place?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Fashion week is held twice a year \u2013 in spring and in fall \u2013 in many countries. There are four important fashion weeks, often referred to as the \u201cBig 4\u201d: New-York, Paris, London and Milan. But what many may not know is that Paris is home to the industry\u2019s first-ever organized fashion week.<\/p>\n

The first official Fashion Week began as “Press Week” in 1943 at the height of World War II. The American fashion media couldn\u2019t get over to Paris\u2014where the most fashion-y of shows went down\u2014to see the next season\u2019s collections.<\/p>\n

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) happens twice a year\u2014once in February and once in September. It is part of the \u2018Big 4\u2019 of fashion weeks and is often considered one of the biggest fashion events in the world. The week normally lasts around 7 to 9 days and during this time there are so many international fashion collections that are modelled to the press and the public. It began in 1993 and was founded by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).<\/p>\n
